Having worked with lots of small businesses, I know that time, budget, and headspace are often in short supply. That’s why I like to be upfront about pricing from the start, so you can quickly see whether working together is going to be a good fit. No awkward surprises, no wasted time, just clear, honest info so you can make confident decisions.
The pricing details for the three key services I offer are below:
Competitive advantage consultancy
Ongoing strategic marketing and tactical delivery
Award entry submissions
Limited-Time Offer: Get my competitive advantage consultancy process for £2,995
For this price you will get
Client interviews
Staff interviews
Competitor research
A full day boardroom bootcamp which will be used to identify a competitive advantage
A subsequent bespoke internal communication plan to ensure staff alignment with your competitive advantage
A subsequent bespoke marketing and PR activity plan to raise awareness of your business's competitive advantage to existing and potential clients.
NB: For ongoing support to implement the internal communications plan, and marketing activity plan, see my 'ongoing marketing activity pricing' below.
I will work in the role of a freelance marketing consultant, acting as an extension of your team to provide strategic advice and delivering traditional and digital marketing and PR activity.
This is a flexible service so it can be for the delivery of your competitive advantage internal communications/marketing plan, or completely unrelated activity.
This fully flexible setup means you get senior-level expertise without the overhead of a full-time hire, and I can slot in where you need me most, whether that’s working alone as a freelance marketing manager or supporting existing in-house or agency marketers.
My day rate is £400, which covers 7.5 hours of dedicated working time.
This includes:
Strategic work
Marketing and PR activity delivery
Client & stakeholder meetings
Reporting & analysis
NB: This does not include expenses such as ad spend, travel costs, or any technical or design outsourcing.
If your company has never used a fractional marketing manager before it can be difficult to appreciate what your money is going to pay for in terms of actual outputs. So, the following is an example of the outputs that could be delivered for a £1,000 monthly fee.
Competitor research
1 x blog post (for SEO purposes)
1 x existing page optimised (for SEO purposes)
4 x image/text social media posts (for brand profile raising and SEO)
1 x short press release written OR distributed (for brand profile raising and SEO)
1 x Google business profile update (for local SEO)
The above very much depends on the complexity and type of the work required and is meant to act as a guideline, not a prescribed list of monthly activity.
Every award criteria is different and asks for different types of information in different degrees of detail. That means I can’t give clear guidance on the costs for my two award services - full award research and writing, and award entry reviews - as both have to be priced on a project-by-project basis.
However, the cost for an award entry review starts at £250, and the cost for writing a short award submission starts at £600.
Some businesses can take their time making payments. Unfortunately, my mortgage provider doesn’t offer me the same flexibility.
For competitive advantage consultancy, I will ask for a 50% of the fee upfront and 50% when the project is completed.
For retainer agreements, I will ask for 50% of the first month’s fee at the start, and the remaining 50% at the end of that month. From month two onwards, the retainer switches to a single monthly payment, due at the end of each month.
For award entries, the payment terms will depend on the complexity and cost. For short, simple award entries and award entry reviews, I will ask for the whole fee upfront. For longer award entries I will ask for a 50% deposit and the remaining sum after the entry has been submitted. For award entries with multiple stages, I will price each stage separately and ask for payment of each stage upfront.
A late fee of 5% will be added for every additional month that an invoice remains unpaid. It’s all part of making sure I can keep delivering great work without chasing payments.
