So many businesses could speed up their growth by working with a freelance marketing manager like myself on a one-day-a-week basis.
I'm an ideal option for businesses that want professional marketing support, but feel that hiring a full-time senior marketing manager is prohibitively expensive.
Instead of adding a large overhead, I can step in as a fractional marketing manager, working just one day a week. I'll take on full responsibility for managing and delivering your business's marketing activity.
I focus on three key areas
1. Lead generation & conversion
2. Improving marketing positioning & messaging
3. Building reputation and credibility
I'll bring 24+ years of strategic leadership and hands-on tactical delivery experience to your business. This means you'll get the marketing results you want, without the massive commitment of a permanent senior hire.

She is a pleasure to work with, works hard, is diligent, challenges our thinking and stands by her principles, she's also a great person to have around."

My one-day-a-week freelance marketing manager service is designed to help you with both strategy and execution. Whether you have a clear plan or are simply struggling to manage your current activity, I can help.
Path 1: Competitive advantage consultancy and follow-on fractional marketing support
I'll take you through my competitive strategy consultancy, then work with you to deliver the plan on an ongoing basis as a fractional marketing manager. This means that the plan we create won't gather dust or be diluted by inconsistent execution. I'll know the plan inside-out, and can make sure every action taken is aligned with your competitive advantage message.
Path 2: Flexible freelance marketing support
If you already have a strategy but need an experienced extra pair of hands in delivering it, I can help take the pressure off by helping you get more marketing activity done in less time.
If you haven't defined your marketing strategy yet, there's a good chance you're doing marketing activity that's uncoordinated (or what some people call 'random acts of marketing'). I can step in to sharpen up the activity you're doing and bring lots of experience to your digital and traditional marketing activity, which in turn will deliver better results.

A freelance marketing manager is an experienced professional who, like an in-house marketing manager, manages a business's marketing function on an ongoing basis. They take responsibility for both the strategy and the tactical delivery. They do marketing activity work themselves, and appoint professionals to do jobs that they can't (or shouldn't) do themselves (e.g. a graphic designer, web design). This is different to a marketing consultant who typically provides advice and leaves the implementation to the client.
Experienced marketers are expensive to employ. Junior marketers need a lot of support and guidance. By working with a freelance marketing manager like myself, you get someone with senior level expertise, and don't have to pay for salary, benefits, national insurance, pension. You also get a lot of flexibility, so you may initially want support with one type of marketing, but I can help in other areas as and when needed.
This can be an ideal situation. If your in-house marketing team is struggling to do as much activity as they'd like, I can be an additional pair of hands and turn marketing outputs around quickly. There may be some areas of marketing that your in-house marketers are less confident in. If that's the case, I can act as a mentor whilst also delivering a freelance marketing manager service which will help them to improve their skillset for the future, whilst simultaneously getting lots of marketing activity done.
There's a good reason I call myself a freelance marketing manager rather than a fractional CMO. Unlike most fractional CMOs/marketing directors, I will do the activity myself, in addition to giving strategic direction. The only tasks I'll outsource are technical tasks (e.g. technical SEO) because I want to be confident that the work is done to the highest possible standard and I'm not confident enough in my technical abilities to be able to do that.
Every business and industry is different. The results I can help you achieve will depend on a number of factors: how competitive your industry is, how sophisticated your marketing is at the moment, how much activity you've done in the past, plus a number of other things. That being the case, it's impossible to be able to give an accurate timeline, but I would hope to have some positive results to show you in the first 3-6 months.
